AI improvements; Traffic offense costs scaled byI noticed I suddenly did not have cruise control on any more (i noticed this both via the icon on the dashboard of the truck, and the fact that i was slowing down to a stop). When I tried to turn it on, by pressing the C button, text popped up saying the retarder was enabled, and cruise control also did not turn on.

The switch SHOULD be all the way up is off, first position is brake activated, and the rest are off throttle activated. when i turn my switch on it just drags the brakes and wont let me gain speed. I am unable to use my cruise control. Each time I press it the retarder is activated. I changed nothing in game. It just all of a sudden happened. Posted December 15, 2017 (edited) The yellow indication (specific to this truck, iirc it looks different on other trucks) indicates that the braking pressure is too low. Trucks use air pressure to apply the brakes, and if the air pressure is too low, brakes cannot be lifted and thus you cannot drive. The retarder seems to activate automatically when the cruise control is set when using keyboard and mouse controls, even if the automatic retarder option is unchecked in game play options. In the game, retarder refers to hydraulic retarders and these are actually fairly uncommon in the US. They work by either being a part of the transmission itself, or attached to an accessory shaft on the transmission.
